Utvecklare i projektet Bildhistoria
Are you a developer and want to make a contribution to the Nordic cultural and photographic heritage?
The Swedish Portrait Archive is an non-profit association with the aim of digitizing, collecting and structuring old historical photographs of people, buildings, places, groups, events and organizations. Unlike digital museums, we focus on privately owned photographs as well as photographs in publications.
Our collection consists of hundredthousands of portraits (see https://portrattarkiv.se) and we are now in the process of digitizing photographs of buildings from the first half of the 20th century. We are more than 400 active members uploading their photographs with well over 16 000 Facebook followers and we have been around since 2018.
We are currently building a new community platform aiming to become the largest historical photo site in the Nordics, allowing users to contribute, tag and search CC licensed photos collaboratively to discover new historical facts about their family roots, cities, places and buildings.
Together with our partners at Spring AB (https://spring.se/en), our dev team is working with modern infrastructure (Azure), web-technologies (ASP.NET Core, React Bootstrap) and AI (#facerecognition, #naturallanguageprocessing), creating a user friendly site based on Wikidata's notion of linked data.

Genom att lagra dina bilder på Bildhistoria får du inte vara en lättillgänglig lagringsplats - du kan också beskriva bild och dess motiv med våra taggningsfunktioner, personobjekt, platser, organisationer och händelseredigerare. På så vis skriver du historia med oss.
Om du saknar historiska fakta eller inte kan identifiera en person, plats eller händelse, ger vår plattform dig möjlighet att bjuda in andra för att samarbeta kring historieskrivningen.

Vill du hjälpa till med digitalisering av fotografer i äldre böcker och publikationer? Föreningen köper ständigt in antikvariska böcker med fantastiskt fotografiskt material som vi skannar och sedan publicerar på https://portrattarkiv.se/ (och snart på bildhistoria.se).
